October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this month we want to encourage women to put themselves first.

Solis Mammography patient Ada has always been diligent about prioritizing her health and that includes getting her annual mammogram. After what was another routine screening, she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.

Ada and her husband Arturo share how her breast cancer diagnosis impacted their family, and how catching it early gave them a second chance.

“I’m lucky that I caught it early. It’s been a difficult journey, but I’m positive about my future. It’s important to catch it early. If you wait, it can grow,” said Ada.

An annual screening mammogram can find early-stage breast cancers and early detection means intervention, more treatment options and ultimately, better outcomes.

This month, put YOU. FIRST.
