Enter just past Brooks Street and park in the lot, where four spaces are reserved for Solis Mammography patients. Once inside, take the elevator to the second floor. Our center is to the left of the elevator, in Suite 260. Hours are subject to change.

At Solis Mammography Sugar Land, we care for women across Sugar Land and the surrounding Fort Bend communities, from a first screening to a yearly exam. We offer Saturday appointments and welcome walk-ins to make it easy to fit your health into a busy week. No referral is needed for a screening mammogram, so you can book whenever it works for you, or explore our Houston-area centers. Diagnostic exams require a doctor's order. Our dedicated breast health experts, combined with our state-of-the-art technology, deliver the exceptionally accurate results you deserve and the highest levels of accuracy within the industry.

Our center uses SmartCurve, a curved compression surface shaped like a woman's breast that reduces pressure on the chest wall and distributes it more evenly for a more comfortable mammogram. Research has shown that 93 percent of women who previously experienced pain during mammograms found SmartCurve to be more comfortable.

Do I need a doctor’s order or referral to schedule a mammogram?

No, you do not need a doctor's order to schedule a screening mammogram at most of our locations. However, we do require that you provide the name of an established physician at the time of your appointment, in order to share your results with your doctor.

Is a mammogram covered by insurance?

Solis Mammography is in-network with most major insurance. For women 40+, your 3D mammogram is a covered preventive health benefit with a $0 out-of-pocket cost under most plans. Self-pay options are also available.

How long does a mammogram appointment take?

Most appointments only take 30 minutes. The mammogram procedure generally takes less than 10 minutes, with each breast getting compressed twice. Many women schedule their mammograms during their lunch break or in between other activities.

What’s the difference between a screening and a diagnostic mammogram?

Screening mammograms are routine annual exams for women who are not experiencing any breast issues or symptoms of breast cancer, and can be scheduled without a doctor's order at most of our locations. Diagnostic mammograms are for women experiencing suspicious breast changes and include additional targeted images; a doctor's order is required to schedule one.

Mammo+Heart

Mammo+Heart is an AI screening tool for asymptomatic women between the ages of 40 and 89. It is intended to detect the presence or absence of breast arterial calcification in parallel with breast screening mammography. Contrast-Enhanced Mammography

Contrast-Enhanced Mammography is a special type of mammogram that is performed after an IV injection of X-ray contrast (iodine). It shows all of the information of a regular mammogram but also shows areas of increased blood supply.
