Dallas, TX – September 20, 2019 – Solis Mammography (“Solis”) announces Grant Davies will become its Chief Executive Officer, effective October 14, 2019. Davies will succeed James Polfreman, who has decided to pass the reins to a new leader after a long and successful tenure with Solis.

Davies joins Solis with over 30 years of experience in healthcare services with specific experience managing physician practices and health systems. He has a deep understanding of health systems having most recently served as president and CEO of Sutter Health’s nine Valley Area Hospitals, which serve a 12-county area with four million people in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys of California and account for $3.2 billion in net patient revenue. Davies is known for his focus on clinical quality, patient satisfaction and integrated care delivery – attributes that fit perfectly with the culture and mission at Solis.

Before Sutter Health, Davies held executive roles at California Pacific Medical Center, the University of Colorado Hospital and the University of Utah Medical Center. Davies earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from South Dakota State University and his Master’s in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa. He has been honored as a Fellow of the California Health Leadership College and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He also has served on various boards of directors, including those of The California Hospital Association, The American Hospital Association - Region 9 Policy Board and The Joint Commission.

In his eight years leading Solis, Polfreman led many accomplishments with the company including increasing the company’s earnings by more than tenfold, creating a patient-centric culture embodied by the company’s more than 1,000 dedicated team members, and establishing Solis’ current position of operational and financial strength. The company is on a strong growth trajectory and has the leadership team and purpose-driven team members to succeed through the continued provision of high-quality and patients-first service. Polfreman will serve as a special advisor to Solis and work with Davies to ensure a seamless transition over the next few months. He also will remain a meaningful shareholder in Solis.
