Jennifer Raffel, MD

Dr. Jennifer Raffel is a board certied pathologist in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She grew up in Phoenix and attended the University of Arizona (U of A), earning a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a B.A. in French. She also attended the U of A Medical School where she completed a one year Post-Sophomore Fellowship in pathology. Dr. Raffel completed her pathology residency and a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of California San Francisco. Her training there included signicant exposure to breast pathology including diagnostic and prognostic immunohistochemistry, FISH testing for her-2/neu expression and genetic testing.

Dr. Raffel has a special interest in breast pathology. She enjoys translating complex diagnoses, as well as molecular and genetic testing results, to patients in a way that is useful to their treatment decision-making process. Dr. Raffel is a staff pathologist at TAACH Pathology Center, where she practices general surgical pathology with an emphasis on breast and gastrointestinal pathology.
